A little bit about me
It must be over 35 years ago now, since I walked through the doors of a printing company in Stratford-upon-Avon and started to learn the skills of my trade. Drawing boards, Rotring pens and scalpels were the hardware of the day. The software would have been ink and cow gum, a type of glue that you could let set, roll it up into a ball and bounce around the office – remember, we didn’t have Social Media back then!
Anyway… a few years later, the world went digital. Sadly, the traditional tools would become redundant, but things did start to get really exciting. Around about that time, I moved from the printers to a design agency in Coventry. Shortly after that, the web started to take off, and I was handed the task of giving the Royal Shakespeare Company an online presence. It was a first for them and a fantastic opportunity for me to get into website design.
I managed their website for just over three years and I have never looked back. Later, I was involved in the marketing of the iconic Hacienda redevelopment for Crosby homes in Manchester.
In 2011, I decided the time was right to work for myself. It was a brave move and one I am very pleased I made. I have picked up some varied and interesting clients along the way. Being a Specials/2-Tone fan since the age of 10 having the chance to work with founding member and bass player Horace Panter and his wife Clare promoting his art has definatly been a highlight!!
Anyway, I think that’s probably enough about me. The main objective of the website is to show you what I can do. Please take a few minutes to look at samples of my work… my portfolio is a good place to start.
